The washer jet (20) comprises a shaped fitting in a ball and socket mounting (13) in the end of the fluid duct (10). The angular setting of the jet can be adjusted by placing a shaped tool over the jet and tilting the jet into the required setting. The jet outlet is non symmetrical, or the body of the jet has flats which can be gripped by the adjusting tool. A simple jet design has an elongated shape, with a similar outer shape for simple grip.
