PURPOSE: To obtain a uniform spray pattern, by fitting in a valve chamber a tap having a small opening, about an half of the diameter of a vapor tap normally used for a liquid propellant. CONSTITUTION: Spaced outward projections 26 are formed at the upper end of a plastic cup-shaped valve housing or main body 24, and under them a projection 20 is inwardly crimped and fixedly disposes the cup so as to support a valve body. The liquid product P is fed into a container before a mounting cup 16 is set with respect to the device and an opening in the upper wall 14 of the container 12 is closed off. Subsequently, prior to the final sealing of the device, a propellant gas, such as CO2 , which is slightly soluble in the product P is filled into the container by means of a filling head forcing the gas over the gasket 31 and into a space above the liquid P. At the time, a vapor tap 60 is provided. The vapor tap 60 is in the range of about 0.1 mm to about 0.2 mm in diameter, preferably about 0.2 mm. It makes it possible to obtain a sufficient flow for assisting in the uniform expansion and vaporization of the product. |
