PROCESS FOR THE ACYLATION OF THIAZOLIDINES

Acylated substituted thiazolidines are formed in high yields by reaction of a substituted thiazolidine with an acyl halide in the presence of a buffer compound. The products are further purified by washing with a strong base. The products are useful as herbicide antidotes.
