Producing high-precision through bores by laser radiation

In a method of producing high-precision through bores (2) by laser radiation (6), in particular flow-determining injection bores for injecting fuel into injection nozzles a part (3) of the through bore (2) is produced with a larger diameter than the desired diameter. This may be achieved by shifting the focus P1, P2 and hence convergence of the beam while also moving the workpiece 1. The two bores may be cut from opposite sides.
