<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate improper feeding of a sheet by providing a locking means by which the cassette inserted into a cassette housing part is retained in a prescribed position only when a feeding means is operated, so that the cassette cannot be pulled out by an operator while the sheet is fed. CONSTITUTION:When picture-image formation start operation or feed start operation is performed in a control part, paper feeding roller 6 turns in the arrow direction to carry out feeding of a sheet P, and at the same time a solenoid 17 is turned ON to operate an actuator 18 in the arrow H direction against a spring 20, so that the actuator is separated from the stopper 16 of a control ring 15. Then, a coil spring wound around a shaft 13 contracts to lock a guide member 10. Thus, even if a cassette 2 is pulled, by mistake, by an operator in the arrow F direction from a cassette housing part 4 during the feeding of the sheet P, the cassette 2 cannot be pulled out, and the occurrence of improper feeding of the sheet P can be prevented.</p> |
