SELECTIVE HYDROGENATION REACTION CATALYST

摘要

PURPOSE:To selectively perform catalytic hydrogenation reaction by forming a selective hydrogenation reaction catalyst by supporting platinum on a carrier prepared by coating a zeolite carrier or silica powder with polyethylene glycol. CONSTITUTION:Platinum is supported on a zeolite carrier to obtain a selective hydrogenation reaction catalyst acting on the carbon double bond and carbonyl group in an org. compound and not acting on a benzene ring. Platinum is supported on a carrier prepared by coating a powder based on silica with polyethylene glycol to obtain a selective hydrogenation reaction catalyst acting on the carbon double bond and carbonyl group in an org. compound and not acting on a benzene ring. In the pref. use example of the aforementioned catalyst, methyl vinyl ketone becomes methyl ethyl ketone by the hydrogenation reaction of the carbon double bond of methyl vinyl ketone and said methyl ethyl ketone becomes 2-butanol by the hydrogenation reaction of the carbonyl group.
