PURPOSE:To obtain an image without deterioration of space resolution and high gradient resolution decreasing specle noise by selecting a group of oscillators of a different combination, performing a receiving from a different direction to the same transmitting beam and adding images at the same position. CONSTITUTION:In the second transmission, a switch 12 is switched based on a control signal from a controller 15 and a group of oscillators contg. a group of oscillators for the first transmission (transmission opening S) and of a different combination from the first one is selected and the same ultrasonic beam is transmitted. Then, ultrasonic signals are received while two receiving beams are produced and two image signals from different directions to the same transmitting beam are obtd. These two image signals are added to image signals corresponding to two scanning lines red-out from an image memory 6A and obtd. by the first transmission by means of adders 4Da and 4Db inputting the control signal from the controller 15. It is possible thereby to obtain an image without deterioration of space resolution and with high gradient resolution of decreased specle noise. |
