PURPOSE:To improve the operating efficiency by immediately detecting a high pressure within a coolant circuit, i.e., a state value acting as a load torque for a compressor, and by switching to an operating pattern corresponding to the load change on the basis of results of the comparison of the detected pressure with a reference pressure. CONSTITUTION:Operation for successively increasing and decreasing the operational frequency according to a load change is carried out, and a command signal corresponding to the operating frequency obtained based on the results of this computation is outputted to an inverter controller 16 to conduct control for operating a compressor 1 with a compression capacity corresponding to the air-conditioner load change. An operating pattern switching controller 22 compares a detected pressure in a high pressure sensor 6 with a reference pressure to output an operating pattern selection signal to the inverter controller 16 so that a steady operating pattern, when the detected pressure is lower than the reference pressure, and an overload operating pattern, when the detected pressure exceeds the reference pressure, are selected respectively. |
