RECOMBINANT FUSION PROTEINS FOR ALTERING HORMONE SECRETION

A recombinant fusion protein, resulting from the expression of two genes regulated by a single promoter, having the effect of altering hormone secretion when administered in a therapeutically effective dose. One gene codes for the production of a highly antigenic, hydrophilic protein, such as hepatitis B surface antigen, and the other gene codes for a peptide which alone is not substantially antigenic, such as luteinizing hormone releasing hormone.
