PURPOSE:To obtain readily edible granular hempen fruits with high contents of linoleic and linolenic acid and wide utilization value as a food by physically breaking hard shells of hempen fruits according to an impact and then removing the hard shells. CONSTITUTION:Hard shells of hempen fruits are physically broken by an impact method and then removed by an air separation method, etc., to afford granular hempen fruits. Linoleic acid and linolenic acid having hypotensive, cholesterol lowering action, etc., in respectively amounts of 25-50% are eluted from the resultant granular hempen fruits and the fruits have taste with remarkable body. The above-mentioned granular hempen fruits are stable equally to those of hempen fruits with shells and can be added to various foods and eaten without any difficulty in eating due to the hard shells. The aforementioned granular hempen fruits are effective in preventing adult's diseases. |
