PURPOSE:To permit the employment of the title motor for an apparatus having any load characteristic by providing a plurality of stators with negative phase devices for reversing the direction of rotation of the rotary magnetic fields of the stators. CONSTITUTION:An induction motor 1 is connected to a power source 30 through a power source opening and closing device 31, negative phase devices 43 and a Y- switching device 44. The power source opening and closing device 31, the negative phase devices 43, the Y- switching device 44, a speed detector 22 and a stator pivoting device 35 are connected to a controller 34 connected to the power source 30. In this case, a phase difference in rotary magnetic field is provided between the stators by the pivoting of a pivoting stator 16 whereby the rotating speed and the generating torque of a rotor 7 can be changed by a phase difference between the stators. When a motor 1 is provided with negative phase devices 43, a control torque having a phase opposite to the normal phase of the same can be obtained when there is no phase difference, however, the control torque is changed in accordance with the phase difference when the phase difference is provided whereby various control torque characteristics are generated. According to this method, the title motor is used for the braking device of all kinds of loads. |
