<p>The machine (1) comprises at least two tamping aggregates disposed on either side of a same line of rail. The outside aggregate (7) at least is suspended from a frame (8) articulated onto the machine (1) by articulations (8d, 8e). This frame (8) allows the displacement of the aggregate (7) outside of the contour of the track such that the aggregate carries out the tamping of the ballast of a deviated or adjacent track in the proximity of its outside rail.
