PURPOSE: To obtain granules capable of producing tablets having excellent mechanical properties even at a high riboflavin content by compressing riboflavin powder free from an auxiliary into a rope- or ribbon-shaped through a compressing process and subsequently pulverizing the shaped product. CONSTITUTION: Riboflavin powder free from an auxiliary is compressed between a pair of rollers rotating in opposite directions each other with compression strength of 5-20kN/cm-width of the roll, preferably 7-13kN at 0-50 deg.C, preferably 25 deg.C into a rope- or ribbon-shape. The shaped product is subsequently pulverized to obtain granules having an average maximum particle diameter of 50-100μm. The granules are suitable for producing a riboflavin-containing medicine, food and feed, especially tablets. |
