PURPOSE:To provide the subject feed for domestic animals having a high palatability by the domestic animals, effective for growth promotion and body weight increase and having effects to soften the quality of meat and to improve the taste thereof by heat treating the raw materials containing a grain powder, butter, saccharides and an egg as the main materials. CONSTITUTION:The raw materials composed of a grain powder (e.g. flour), butter, a saccharide and an egg as the main materials are foamed by the stirring foaming method and the obtained foamed material is heat treated to produce a feed for domestic animals. In addition, a chemical expanding agent (e.g. sodium bicarbonate) may be added to the raw materials for expansion and heat treatment is carried out at the same time as the expansion or after expansion to obtain a spongy product in this case. The obtained feed for domestic animals is useful especially as a feed for fattening of a meat pig and effective to make the meat of the domestic animal to be a marbled one in which a large amount of fat components are dispersed.. As the result thereof, a soft and excellent meat having sweet taste and good body is obtained. |
