<p>PURPOSE:To enable solution process to be performed in a high energy efficiency by holding plastics to be processed between a cylinder and a roll and pressing them while heating, and then carrying out gradually softening and compressing thereof. CONSTITUTION:Waste plastics to be processed are controlled into an appropriate size in destroying or cutting them preliminarily and then they are supplied from an input port 15 into a hopper 14. A roll 5 is rotated at a suitable speed (40 - 300 rpm, usually at 60 -180 rpm) by means of a motor 13. The rotating direction in this instance is made counter with respect to the direction of a screw groove 7 and in the case that the screw groove 7 is a left-handed screw, it turns to the right direction in taking a view from the upside. A cylinder 1 and the roll 5 are heated respectively by means of heaters 2, 6. It is preferable that the heating temperature is controlled appropriately in accordance with the kinds of plastics to be processed during the operating period. In an ordinary case, the heating temperature is of the order of 100 - 180 deg.C and in the case of nylon, it is of the order of 240 - 270 deg.C. The plastic strips A to be processed inputted into the hopper 14 are fitted in a gap 8 between the cylinder 1 and the roll 5, next, it rolls within the gap 8 accompanying with the revolution of the roll 5.</p> |
