PURPOSE: To prepare a stable aq. emulsion composition giving a smoothing property, softness, or the like, to fibers by adding a specified silane, water and a specified diorganosiloxane to an aq. emulsion of a specified amino- functional polyorganosiloxane. CONSTITUTION: To an aq. emulsion of amino-functional polyorganosiloxane having at least two amino-functional groups per molecule, a monovalent hydrocarbylsilane having one or more hydrolyzable functional groups and a hydroxy terminated polydiorganosiloxane and water are added and treated, thus a stable emulsion contg. an oil phase and aq. phase is obtained. The composition, by giving to natural, synthetic fibers and inorg. fibers, imparts a smoothing property, softness, compression resistance, water repellency, or the like, to the fibers. |
