PURPOSE: To continuously treat the subject fiber being bulky, having pleasant feel and useful for carpet treatment by treating wool and a synthetic polyamide fiber using a ketene dimer having a specified structure. CONSTITUTION: Wool and a synthetic polyamide fiber are treated by using a ketene dimer of the formula (wherein R1 and R2 are each an >=8C alkyl, alkenyl, or >=6C cycloalkyl, aryl or aralkyl, preferably in the form of aq. emulsion. Further it is preferable to use an aq. emulsion contg. 0.5-30 wt.% of the dimer and 0.2-15 wt.% emulsifying auxiliary agent. |
