PURPOSE:To simply obtain the title composite material having high strength by processing wood into thin, scaly wood flakes, evaporating water of wood at high temperature under high pressure, blending the flakes with a thermoplastic resin, further feeding the blend into a mold under pressure and pressurizing. CONSTITUTION:Wood is shaved into thin, beltlike pieces W by a lathe and fed to a specific crusher 1 to make scaly wood flakes F. Then, the wood flakes F and a given thermoplastic resin in the ratio of (3:5)-(6:5) are fed to a kneader 11, water in the wood flakes F is almost completely evaporated and the blend is kneaded. Then, the blend is fed to a mold of compression molding machine 14 and pressed to give the objective composite material suitable for planter, tray, container, etc. |
