PURPOSE:To prevent the waste of paper by shutting off the driving of a means for conveying the paper to a device main body from a driving source when a process cartridge is taken out from the device main body. CONSTITUTION:The process cartridge C is taken out from the device main body 1. Namely, when the process cartridge C is unloaded in the device main body 1, the driving of the paper conveying means 11 and 12 is shut off from the driving sources G1-G6 and the actuation of the paper conveying means 11 and 12 is kept in an inhibited state. Even when a device starting button is inadvertently pushed in such a state, the paper is prevented from being fed in the device main body 1 by the actuation of the means 11 and 12. Thus, the waste of paper is prevented. |
