PURPOSE:To omit a shielding plate to cover an area out of the irradiating field of a visible image by recognizing a radiation irradiating field based on the irradiating field recognizing image data and assigning the data value corresponding to the low luminance or the high density to the image reproducing image data corresponding to an area out of the irradiating field. CONSTITUTION:The analog output signal outputted from a photomultiplier 11' is amplified by an amplifier 16' and turned into a digital signal by an A/D converter 17'. Thus the image data SQ is obtained and inputted to a radiation image processor 40. Then a proper image process is applied to the data SQ as necessary so as to secure the excellent observation aptitude for the images in a radiation irradiating field. At the same time, the data value corresponding to the low luminance is assigned to the data SQ. Then the data SQ is inputted to a CRT 43, and a visible image is displayed for observation based on the data SQ. Thus it is not required to use a shielding plate, etc., for observation of the visible image. |
