1,113,378. Control of A.C. motors. BARMAG BARMER MASCHINENFABRIK A.G. 20 Dec., 1966 [22 Dec., 1965], No. 56871/66. Heading H2J. [Also in Division G3] The relationship between the speeds of a plurality of three-phase synchronous or other motors 1-4, e.g. driving textile machinery, is kept constant by supplying them via static frequency converters 5-8, the control signals for which are recorded as separate tracks or a single medium 20. The tracks may be individually programmed, and each track may control more than one group of motors via pulse dividers or multipliers 28-31. An additional track may control machine operating switching devices 32. Individual motors or groups may be taken " out of line " and separately operated from a standby programme device in emergency. The storage medium may be magnetic or punched tape, or discs geared together, and to prevent "interference" " in yarn traversing mechanisms the read out device of one channel may be oscillated in the direction of the track. |
