PURPOSE:To increase the image processing speed by processing partly and in parallel the binary images that can be processed only in sequence in a (3 X3) nearby process of binary images. CONSTITUTION:An image reading part 22 reads the information necessary for processing one line out of an image memory 21 and gives the information to the output calculation parts 23 and 24. The part 23 calculates the outputs of all picture elements of one line in parallel with each other based on the received information when the output of the picture element preceding by one stage is equal to 0. The part 24 calculates the outputs of all picture element of one line in parallel with each other when the output of the picture element preceding by one stage is equal to 1. These calculated outputs of picture elements are written into an output value table 25. An output value selection part 26 traces the table 25 at and after its head to decide the output picture element value. An image memory updating part 27 writes the final output value into the memory 21. As a result, the image processing is speeded-up. |
