PURPOSE:To enable changing cover sheets of an optical memory element when its appearance becomes dirty and to expect some protective function of the sheet for a recording layer by providing a peelable sheet on a protective layer of the optical memory element. CONSTITUTION:On a magneto-optical recording layer 2, there provided are a protective layer 3 of UV-curing resin essentially comprising polyurethane acrylate or epoxyacrylate, and a polyester sheet 4 of about 50 - 300 mum thickness which can be peeled off from the protective layer 3. As for an adhesive to adhere the polyester sheet 4 and the protective layer 3, it is preferable that the adhesive has higher adhesion strength with the polyester sheet 4 and rather low strength with the protective layer 3. The sheet can be expected for some protective function for the recording layer 2 of the optical memory element. When the appearance of the memory element becomes bad because of flaws on the sheet 4, the sheet can be peeled off and replaced by a new sheet. |
