1,087,030. Control of D.C. motors. FELTEN & GUILLEAUME CARLSWERK A.G. July 5, 1966 [Aug. 14, 1965], No. 30146/66. Heading H2J. In a loading device, a shunt-wound motor 1 drives a loading arm between fixed positions, a slide of transformer 3 being mechanically coupled to the arm so that the armature voltage is reduced continuously during movement of the arm towards an end-position. The motor is supplied from the transformer through rectifier 5 and reversing switch 13, a switch 12 being adapted to interchange the connections between the rectifier and the end-terminals of the transformer-winding. Tappings 8, 9 on the transformer correspond to the end-positions of the rocker arm, so allowing for a residual voltage for forcing the motor against the stop. |
