PURPOSE:To obtain the subject combined body having high strength as well as heat resistance and thermal stability by forming RyZr4SixP6-xO24 (R is one or more kinds of elements convertible into di- or trivalent cations) as a principal crystal phase and zircon as a secondary crystal phase. CONSTITUTION:A batch of a mixture of compds. selected among ZrP2O7, (ZrO)2 P2O7, ZrO2, ZrSiO4, SiO2, the phosphate of R and RO so as to obtain a compsn. represented by formula I or II after sintering is molded and sintered. The resulting heat resistant phosphate-zircon combined body has high strength, low expandability and superior stability at high temp. |
