PURPOSE:To omit a precipitative separation process as well as to enhance biological treatment efficiency by a method wherein microorganism is adhered to magnetic particles to subject an org. waste water to biological treatment and, after the biological treatment is carried out, the magnetic particles subjecred to solid-liquid separation are returned to the aforementioned biological treatment process. CONSTITUTION:To the inside of a biological treatment tank 1', iron sand par- ticles with a particle size of 0.01-0.1mm. are added and recirculated and flowed in the biological treatment tank 1' by the air supplied into an air lift pipe 2. When said tank is operated while raw water 3 is supplied thereinto, microorganism begins to be adhered to the surfaces of the iron sand particles within about one week and aerobic biological treatment of the raw water 3 is advanced, the iron sand particles having adhered microorganisms and biologically treated water 5' are flowed into a magnetic separation process 6 through an outflow pipe 5 to separated the iron sand particles. The separated iron sand particles are recycled to the biological treatment tank 1' by a return pipe 7.
|
