PURPOSE:To supply a liquid contact medium by an invariably proper amount by supplying the medium by the proper amount through an ultrasonic probe, transmitting and receiving an ultrasonic wave through the liquid contact medium. CONSTITUTION:The ultrasonic probe 10 is devised that the liquid contact medium 5 can be supplied through the ultrasonic probe 10 itself. The liquid contact medium 5 passes through a path 16, a path 30 provided in a holding mechanism 11 for the ultrasonic probe 10, and a slit 31 which is open at the peripheral part of the root of the horn 10A of the ultrasonic probe 10 and reaches the tip part of the horn 10A in an inverted cone shape along its inside, so that a few drips are supplied. Then the ultrasonic wave is transmitted and received through the liquid contact medium 5. Consequently, the can lid is neither stained with an unnecessary excessive remaining liquid contact medium 5 nor put under its adverse influence and the liquid contact medium 5 can securely be supplied by the proper amount to between the can lid 1 and probe 10. |
