<p>PURPOSE:To measure transmission loss level characteristics in a short time by performing the measurement simultaneously by both devices connected to both terminals of a toll circuit to be measured. CONSTITUTION:When a forward-path measurement signal tone having a prescribed level is sent out of an originating device MM at a prescribed frequency, its signal tone is led to a terminating device SM through the down line of a toll circuit to be measured. Then, said measurement signal tone is supplied to a measuring instrument 24 to perform level measurement. At the same time, the terminating device SM sends a backward-path measurement signal tone having a prescribed level at a prescribed frequency to the terminating device SM through the up line 1. This backward-path measurement signal tone is supplied to a measuring instrument 14 for level measurement. Then, both the devices vary transmission levels gradually and at every time, the both devices measure the transmission loss levels of the forward and backward paths.</p> |
