<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a sharp picture even when the brightness of a cathode ray tube is increased hy using a micro channel plate to apply current amplification to a picture information light radiating from an electron gun. CONSTITUTION:A blanking circuit 35 extracts a signal from a video signal so as not to light up a cathode ray tube 20 during the blanking period and sends the signal to a CRT drive circuit 36, which clamps the video signal and supplies it to a cathode of the cathode ray tube 20, then an image corresponding to the video signal is formed on the cathode ray tube 20. Moreover, an electron beam radiating from an electron gun 22 and converged therein is made incident in a micro channel plate 50, where the beam is subject to electron multiplication and the electrons collides with a fluorescent screen 23, on which the fluorescent substance is excited. Furthermore, the micro channel plate 50 consists of minute photo multipliers 51 arranged in 2-dimension. Thus, a sharp picture is obtained.</p> |
