摘要 PURPOSE: To improve the cooling efficiency of turbine vanes and the combustive performance of a combustor by providing downstream of a turbine a steam supply means having the outlet connected to the inlets of cooling passages for turbine stage vanes and connecting the outlets of the cooling passages to an injection means arranged in the combustor. CONSTITUTION: A gas turbine engine 10 includes a compressor 20 for producing high pressure combustion air, a combustor 22 arranged downstream thereof, and a turbine 30 (high pressure and low pressure turbines 30a, 30b) driven by high temperature and high pressure combustion gas generated therein. The turbine 30 normally has a plurality of turbine rotor stages 34 and turbine vanes 36 are arranged in front of the respective turbine rotor stages 34. In this case, the respective turbine vanes 36 are provided with cooling passages 38 so that steam from a steam supply means 40 including a boiler arranged downstream of the turbine 30 can be supplied through a steam valve 42 and steam supplied to the cooling passages 38 can be then supplied to an injection means 44 connected to the inlet of the combustor 22.
