PURPOSE:To obtain accelerating property responsive to accelerator operation by reducing the differential pressure between the apply pressure and release pressure of lock up for a determined time thereafter, when accelerator operating speed is a determined speed or more in lock up state. CONSTITUTION:An AT control unit 21 inputs engine rotating speed, AT output shaft rotating number, and throttle opening from sensors 22-24, and fastens the lock up clutch 6 of a torque convertor 1 through a lock up control valve 12 in a determined operating state. When the accelerator operating speed, or the throttle opening is a determined speed or more in this state, hydraulic control is conducted through the lock up control valve 12 in such a manner that the differential pressure between a lock up apply pressure chamber 8 and a release pressure chamber 8 is reduced less than a differential pressure required for keeping the lock up state for a determined time after the acceleration operation. Hence, the accelerating property responsive to accelerator operation can be obtained. |
