PURPOSE:To enable easy and speedy input without necessitating the code input operation of document mixed with Kanji (Chinese character), by utilizing an optical system character reader which can read Katakana (Japanese syllabary) on the input section of a Japanese word processor. CONSTITUTION:A character writing frame 201 having a guide line 202 to write in the inputted original sentense mixed with Kanji in Katakana character string is previously designed. At the same time, book P(A) whose writing position for conversion area designation is previously designated by keeping a constant relation with the character writing frame 201, an optical character reader OCR101 which reads the information written in each designated position of book P(A) and a Japanese word processor 102 which executes the conversion processing of Katakana-Kanji according to the input information are provided. On the previously decided position of the book P(A), Katakana character string corresponding to the input orignal mixed with Kanji and the conversion area of Katakana and Kanji are written. After that, the book P(A) is read by OCR101 and is inputted to the Japanese word processor 102. |
