A method for making a frame, such as a photograph frame or the like, of the type comprising a framework for supporting a sheet of pressed metal or equivalent material, is characterized in that the said framework 1 is made of foamed synthetic resin, in that a raised portion 3, essentially corresponding to the cavity on the back of the sheet, is formed on the surface of the said framework on which the said metal sheet is placed, and in that the said sheet is attached to the said raised portion by means of an adhesive.
