The invention relates to a cross-cutting stop with rapid adjustment intended, for example, for use in connection with the cross-cutting of long goods with a saw blade. A slide 2 can be actuated such that it can be locked fast or guided on a profiled rail in the longitudinal direction of the latter. The motion can be realized either by the turning of a knob 5', which acts upon a worm which in turn engages with a stationary threaded rod 3, for fine-adjustment, or by the worm and the threaded rod 3 being mutually disconnected through the use of a tiltable tension screw to swing aside a clamp 17, for rapid adjustment. <IMAGE> |
