PURPOSE:To surely execute the medical treatment even if a shape of the affected part is complicated, and also, to simultaneously execute the medical treatment of the affected part of a wide area by providing a balloon consisting of an expandable/ contractable transparent member on an inserting part inserted into a living body, providing a semiconductor substance having an optical catalytic effect on its outside surface, and providing a light guiding means for executing light irradiation to the balloon on the inserting part. CONSTITUTION:When air is fed by an air feed syringe 7, air is fed to a balloon 4 through man air feed duct line 3, the balloon 4 expands, and a semiconductor electrode 10 stuck to the outside surface comes into contact with a cancer organization 12. In this state, when a light guiding fiber 8 of the air feed duct line 3 of an inserting part 2 is inserted, and a light beam emitted from a light source unit 9 is guided to the inside peripheral surface, an illuminating light transmits through a peripheral wall of the balloon 4 being a transparent member and reaches the semiconductor electrode 10. When the illuminating light hits against the semiconductor electrode 10, an oxidation reaction occurs on the semiconductor electrode 10, and the cancer organization 12 can be allowed to perish by an optical catalyst effect. In this case, the medical treatment extending over a wide area is executed simultaneously, and also, even if a shape of the affected part is complicated, the medical treatment is executed. |
