PURPOSE:To rapidly select data by simple constitution by outputting an identifier(ID) and an arithmetic result attended with the ID as the output of data. CONSTITUTION:A character recognizing device uses the data selector as an identification circuit 15 and a sorting part 16. Image data stored in an image memory 13 are segmented by a CPU board 14 one character at a time and transferred to the circuit 15. The ID and the arithmetic result are outputted from the circuit 15 to the sorting part 16, which executes the sorting processing of these input data. Consequently, data can rapidly be selected by the simple constitution.
