摘要 |
PURPOSE:To satisfactorily decompose NOx in exhaust gas into N2 and O2 by adding unsatd. higher hydrocarbon to the exhaust gas in a specified ratio to the NOx, mixing them and bringing this mixture into contact with a Cu (II) exchanged high-silica zeolite catalyst at a certain temp. CONSTITUTION:Unsatd. higher hydrocarbon such as gasoline, kerosene or light oil is added to exhaust gas contg. NOx in >=0.1vol. concn. ratio of the hydrocarbon to the NOx and they are mixed. This mixture is passed through a catalyst bed packed with Cu (II) exchanged high-silica zeolite at 350-750 deg.C. The exhaust gas after combustion is efficiently denitrated with the Cu (II) exchanged high- silica zeolite and the Iow-cost unsatd. higher hydrocarbon as a reducing agent. |
