PURPOSE:To provide the toner which has good color reproducibility, is chemically and biochemically stable and safe and is excellent in environmental safety and to obtain stable electrostatic chargeability of a positive polarity by specifying the respective amounts of a polyol resin and styrene/acrylic copolymer constituting a binder resin. CONSTITUTION:The binder resin is formed by mixing 5 to 40pts.wt. styrene/ acrylic copolymer with 95 to 60pts.wt. polyol resin. The mixing ratio of the styrene/acrylic copolymer is preferably 10 to 25pts.wt. per 90 to 75pts.wt. polyol resin. The basic skeleton of the polyol resin is obtd. by bringing an epoxy resin into reaction with primary amines and bivalent phenols to cause chain extension. The toner which has the excellent color reproducibility, is biochemically safe, is excellent in the environmental safety and has the stable positive chargeability is obtd. in this way. |
