Recovery of solvent - by desorption of adsorbing agent e.g. molecular sieve pack

Solvent is collected and recycled from the outgoing air of cleaning plant by passing this air through reclaimable adsorbing agents. These agents are heated indirectly by heat exchange to recover the solvent, assisting the desorption by applying a vacuum. Pref. the adsorbing agent tank with the agent, e.g. a mol. sieve parts. is heated by steam from the boiler which passes through the tubes. The desorption circuit includes a tank, cooler, dryer and condenser. A second adsorbing agent tank can be operated in turn. USE/ADVANTAGE - This saves much energy by an optimum heat exchange action and by a vacuum to reduce the adhesive forces. Used for degreasing installations of metal workpieces.
