A method for removing salts from an aqueous solution consists in feeding the solution into an anode chamber (5) and applying a voltage to the electrodes. An acid solution obtained in the chamber (5) is fed to dilution chambers (7) and cathode chamber (8), and ions of salts and of the acid are transferred through membranes (2, 3, 4), thus ensuring the salt removal from the solution. The concentrate is extracted from the chamber (6) and the salted-out solution is extracted from the chamber (8). The electrodialyzer comprises a casing (1) with membranes (2, 3, 4) constituting an anode chamber (5), at least one pair (22) of chambers and a cathode chamber (8). The pair (22) of chambers consists of a concentration chamber (6) and a dilution chamber (7). Each of the chambers (6) is provided with a channel and the membrane (4) is provided with an opening (17). The invention makes it possible, by distribution and subsequent dosing of the acid from the chamber (5) to the chambers (6, 7, 8), to prevent sludge formation on the membranes (2, 3) and thus to increase the specific productivity of the salting-out process and to simultaneously decrease the specific energy consumption of the process. |
