A magnetic reading and writing head assembly in which the contact between the magnetic recording medium and the heads is assured by fixedly-mounted pressure-rollers. The rollers (7, 8, 9) are mounted close enough to the heads (2, 3) so as to interfere with the linear movement of the recording medium past the heads. The pressure of the medium against the heads is provided by the elasticity of the medium which must slightly flex as it travels past the succession of alternating rollers and heads. <IMAGE> |
