摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a transformer by utilizing twisting vibration by bonding two piezoelectric ceramic plates longitudinally polarized at the sides parallel to the polarizing direction so that the polarizing directions become oppositely against each other. CONSTITUTION:Longitudinally polarized piezoelectric porcelain plates 20, 21 are bonded at the sides parallel to the polarizing direction so that the polarizing directions become oppositely to each other. Drive electrodes 22, 23' and output electrodes 24, 24' are formed on the upper and lower surfaces of the respective plates 20, 21. When they are excited from the drive terminals 25, 25', opposite slipping vibrations are excited in the plates 20, 21 due to the reverse polarizing directions, and since they are rigidly bonded with an adhesive 22, the slipping vibration is converted into twisting vibtation. Since the elastic stiffness of the twisting vibration is smaller than that of the longitudinal vibration, a small size piezoelectric ceramic transformer can be obtained.
