PURPOSE:To permit highly efficient driving regardless of the rotating direction of a motor by a method wherein the output of a rotor position detector, which is obtained through a phase advancing circuit, is used as a rotor position detecting output and fed to a predetermined coil corresponding to the detected position of the rotor. CONSTITUTION:The output of the terminal (a) of a Hall element 1 is supplied to a voltage comparator 3 through a phase advancing circuit 6 as a voltage to be compared, while the output at the terminal (b) of the Hall element 1 is supplied to another voltage comparator 2 through another phase advancing circuit 7 as another voltage to be compared. The output of the voltage comparator 3 is impressed on the base of a transistor 4 for driving a coil L1 while the output of the other voltage comparator 2 is impressed on the base of the other transistor 5 for driving the other coil L2 thus controlling the conduction of the coil L2. According to this method, highly efficient driving of the motor may be effected in both clockwise and counterclockwise rotations of the rotor. |
