摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To change the regenerative correction at the time of image recording by a method wherein when a direct-writing recording is indicated by an indication unit, the rate of regenerative correction at a recording unit is controlled to be different from the time of transfer recording. CONSTITUTION:At either case of thermal transfer recording or recording to a heat-sensitive paper, the power connecting pulse to a thermal head 117 is constituted of a main pulse 164 (171) and a subsidiary pulse 165 (172). The pulse width which is changed for regenerative correction is the pulse width of the main pulse part, and the subsidiary pulse is not output when the immediately previous recording dot is '1' (there is a recording data), and when there is no recording date immediately before, the subsidiary pulse is output by a pulse which has a sufficiently smaller width then the pulse width of the main pulse. In the case of thermal transfer recording, the radiating quantity of the thermal head is smaller than the case of heat-sensitive recording. For this reason, when dots are recorded continuously, the width of the power connecting pulse (166-168) is corrected to be shorter, comparing to the case of heat-sensitive recording (pulse 173-175).</p>
