The nozzle is used for a spraying foam on fires in order to extinguish them. The nozzle consists of a convergent part (2) which terminates in the mixing chamber (6). The mixing chamber has a radial hole (8) with a screw thread for a pipe which connects the nozzle to the supply of the foam forming medium. The mixing of water and medium is continued in the nozzle extension which consists of a steel pipe (9). The length (11) of this steel pipe is equal to at least four times its ID (10). The nozzle may also be used to mix an irritant with the water when used with a water cannon for riot control. USE - Fire fighting and riot control.
