The ventilation installation includes several separate stations for treating the air in the tunnel. Each individual station comprises two fans 15, 15' which are each connected, on the one hand, via a first channel 16, 16' to an outlet 17, 17' leading from a filtering arrangement 8 for filtered air and are connected, on the other hand, via a second channel 18, 18' to a third channel 19, 19' having a first section 20, 20' which opens into the tunnel space 7 and a second section 21, 21' which communicates with the atmosphere. Between the first and third channels there is a shunt channel 23, 23'. Cooperating with each fan there are two adjustable valves 24, 25; 24', 25' of which one can provide communication between the first channel 16, 16' and either the filter arrangement outlet 17, 17' or the shunt channel 23, 23', while the second valve can provide communication between the second channel 18, 18' and either the first section 20, 20' or the second section 21, 21' of the third channel 19, 19'. By adjustment of the valves 24, 25; 24', 25', the fans 15, 15' can be brought individually either to feed the tunnel with fresh outside air taken in via the third channel 19, 19' or to discharge filtered air from the filtering arrangement via the said third channel. <IMAGE> |
