PURPOSE: To realize the improvement of the estimation of movement for an applicable object by using the components of an already decided candidate vector as the components of a departure vector, and mug each candidate vector and the components correspond to each departure vector and the components. CONSTITUTION: Plural candidate motion vector I-IV are decided from departure vectors ϕ in the same number, and one motion vector is selected from among those decided candidate vectors I-IV. The components of the already decided candidate motion vectors are adapted as the components of those departure vectors, and those candidate motion vectors are made correspond to the departure vectors, and the components of each candidate motion vector are made correspond to the components of each departure vector. Thus, the estimation can be improved, and estimation error can be minimized. |
