The compression space (3;3a) in each damping cylinder (2;2a) associated with the axle (1) is connected (5,6;5a,6a) to a diaphragm store (11;11a) and to a corrective cylinder (4;4a) of constant stroke in which a free piston (18;18a) is impelled by oil from a pump (9) via a three/three-way valve (8). An oil pressure switch (19) operates an indicator (20) on the dashboard (16) near axle-load indicators (15,15a) and a switch (17) for resetting the valve (8) after unloading.
