The invention relates to a vehicle window pane (2) and a system for damage free removal of the pane (2). A wire (11) is located around the circumference of the window pane (2) adjacent to the adhesive coating strip (8) and on the inner side (9) of it. One end of the wire (11) is fixed at a point (13) inside the window. In the window corners the wire (11) is directed outside the adhesive strip (8) and is retained by guide hooks or pegs (14) attached to plastic corner pieces (16). Wire (11) is normally aramide fibre and during pane (2) removal is pulled through the adhesive coating (8). USE/ADVANTAGE - Safe damage free removal of vehicle window panes. The wire is prevented from pulling inward to form a noose during window removal.
