Weight measurement in washing machine (1) comprising a switch panel (2), a work top (3), an indicator window (4) in the switch panel having on it an indicator scale with markings, an indicator plate (5) carrying an indicator mark (6) which is visible through window (4) and a leaf spring (7) rigidly connected to the front of washing tub (8) which is resiliently mounted by suspension springs (9) from the frame (10) of the washing machine at one end and coupled at the other end for displacement of indicator plate (5). With the machine inactive the load weight is indicated in the window (4).
